Sasa Daruma Honpo character Sasa Daruma. He is a boy inspired by Niigata specialties, sasa dango and snowmen, with work gloves and rubber boots as his distinguishing features. To teach children about the “circle of bonds” between people that deepens when they help one another, he appears at events and elsewhere to help Niigata develop further.
