Ogose Town's mascot, Umerin, is a girl born to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Ogose Town's establishment. Because the town is known for plums, she is a fairy who emerged from a jar containing pickled plums. She visits events in various places to promote Ogose Town and encourage more people to come visit.
