Hasuda City character Hasupī was created in 2012 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Hasuda City’s municipal organization. It is modeled on water birds at Kurohama Pond, with a water lily blooming on its head. Its wings are inspired by Hasuda pears, a specialty product, and it was named “Hasupī” from Hasuda and happy. Hasupī is active at events and elsewhere to promote Hasuda City!
