Kamagaya City mascot character Kamatan is a boy fairy of pears and vegetables, created to promote the city’s agricultural products. Kamatan later became Kamagaya City’s mascot character. The three red points on Kamatan’s head apparently represent the freshness, reliability, and safety of agricultural products produced in Kamagaya City. Kamatan appears at events in various places to promote specialty pears and vegetables and the attractions of Kamagaya City.
