A fairy living on Takashoyama, in the school district of Koizumi Elementary School in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture. He carries a bag filled with many “seeds of dreams” and helps make children's dreams come true. There are Yashiron dances and songs, and children perform them at the sports festival every year. Illustrations are used in many places, including on can badges, bibs, and Yashiron candy. “Tomodachi Yashiron” was created as the friend of the first “Yashiron” to commemorate Koizumi Elementary School's 150th anniversary. A child designed it through an all-school open competition.
