Sakado City image character Sakacchi. This character was created through an open competition in 2006 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the city administration. It also promotes Sakado Yosakoi, an event held for the 15th time in 2015. It wears the city's flower, satsuki azaleas, on its head, represents the flowing Koma River in blue, and holds naruko clappers. Sakacchi appears at events in various places and works hard to promote Sakado City's appeal to more people.
