Yokoze Town public-relations character Bukou-san. This character was created in 2010 to commemorate the town's 25th anniversary, based on a design by a rakugo performer from Chichibu. It is inspired by Mount Buko in Chichibu and the drums used in Chichibu Yatai Bayashi. Bukou-san was born in 1304 and holds drumsticks and unleashes its full power when it wants to raise everyone's spirits, giving energy to everyone.
