I’m the original character of a support facility for people with disabilities. Staff members solicited ideas for a mascot character within the facility, and everything—from making the costume and two original songs to the dance and choreography—was handmade by the staff. Of course, users enjoy me at events inside the facility, and this year I was introduced to local residents at the corporation’s spring festival. In the future, I hope to contribute even a little to revitalizing the community in various ways. I wear a bamboo-shoot hat and am modeled on yuzu, a specialty of Fujino. I usually live in the mountains of Fujino, but I love everyone’s smiles and come to town riding the wind.

In addition, “Kaoru-chan Ondo” is currently being created for summer festivals. I am scheduled to wear a yukata dress at the summer festival.
