Sagamihara City mascot Sagamin. Born and raised in Sagamihara City, Sagamin was created to commemorate the city’s 60th anniversary after being selected from submitted designs in April 2014. Sagamin’s favorite hat is decorated with the city’s famous yuzu and its flower, hydrangeas, and is inspired by the city’s “pure water.” Although Sagamin has only just debuted, the character appears at and contributes to many events centered in Sagamihara.
