Shōō Town mascot character Kintokun was created to commemorate the thousandth anniversary of the death of Kintarō, also known as Sakata Kintoki, who had ties to the town. He is a sporty boy who wears a helmet shaped like the characters in Shōō and a red bib. He works hard as the “self-proclaimed prince of Shōō Town” to become a presence capable of sending energy from Shōō Town!
