Utsunomiya City mascot character Miyary is a fairy born in April of Heisei 18 to commemorate the city's 110th anniversary of municipal organization. She wears a crown of satsuki, the city flower. In 2011 she became Utsunomiya City's special PR representative. Wearing a chest logo reading “Utsunomiya is fun if you live there,” she shares information and attractions about Utsunomiya City through her blog, Twitter, television appearances, and other activities, appearing at various events around the country and attracting popularity.
