Haebaru Town mascot character Haerun was selected through a public competition and unveiled at the Haebaru Furusato Expo. Her face is modeled on the specialty Haebaru pumpkin, while strelitzia and bougainvillea flowers bloom on her head. She represents a child growing up energetically in the town's fields while basking in plenty of sunlight!
