Gagome Man

Gagome Man came from the sea to promote Hakodate’s specialty gagome kelp. His tail made of kelp root is very popular with children. He is mischievous, fond of pranks, and gets carried away. Are his distinctive sunglasses a way to hide his shyness? He has a strong spirit of challenge and tries anything, but often fails... However, like kelp, he has a tenacious personality. His goal is apparently to teach children that “if you try, you can do it.” In addition to sharing information about gagome kelp, he has recently tried skiing, skating, and Hakodate’s famous squid dance as well; videos are being uploaded to YouTube and Facebook.
