Ami~go

Ami~go is the character of Shinkamigoto Town. This cat character was created in 2014 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the town's municipal administration, and wears a flying fish called ago, one of the area's specialties, on its head. The name Ami~go combines amigo, meaning friend in Spanish, ago, a local specialty, and a cat's cry. Ami~go works with Mikoto-chan, who was created at the same time, by attending events and promoting Shinkamigoto Town.
