Chuta-kun is the character of Minamitane Town. Since the Tanegashima Space Center is located in the town, he was created with space and rockets as his motifs. He has an antenna inspired by the matchlock gun brought from Portugal to Tanegashima. Chuta-kun works hard on promotional activities, including attending various events, so that more people learn about the appeal of Minamitane Town and come to visit.
