Isa City officially recognized character, Isa King. He was created as a symbol mark to promote Isa City, home to the Hishikari Mine, where Japan's largest quantities of high-quality gold and silver are produced, and in 2013 he “descended into the human world.” He appears at various events in various places to help more people learn about appealing Isa City, including not only its mine but also shōchū and many tourist attractions.
