Tarumizu City official image character Tarutaru is a water fairy created in Heisei 26 (2014), selected from entries submitted nationwide. Its catchphrase is apparently “I’m hooked on Tarumizu.” This is the form Tarutaru usually takes when appearing before everyone, but apparently it closes its lid and becomes a barrel when sleeping. It is active in various goods and events to help more people learn about Tarumizu City.
