Official Komaki City character Komakiyama. He was created in 2015 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the city’s municipal administration, with Komakiyama in the city as his motif. He is a boy sumo wrestler belonging to the “Aichi Prefecture Komaki Stable.” He supports children and others who “challenge themselves toward their dreams,” making tours to kindergartens, elementary schools, festivals, and elsewhere in the city to interact with children. He is active in promoting Komaki City through Facebook updates and event participation.
