Chiryu City mascot character Chiryuppi. A boy born in October 2014 to promote Chiryu City's many attractions, he wears a horse hoodie decorated with kakitsubata, the city's flower. His shoulder bag, modeled on an anmaki, a specialty of Chiryu City, is said to be packed with the city's attractions. Wearing the city emblem on his chest, he appears at various events while sharing Chiryu City's attractions and information on Twitter and elsewhere and performing dances, gaining popularity.
