Tengu-chan, the Numata City Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s character, was created with the tengu, a legendary creature handed down in Numata City since long ago, as its motif. Although tengu are often imagined as frightening, Tengu-chan apparently has a gentle personality and loves children. Tengu-chan can apparently fly and works to help more people learn about Numata City’s appeal.
