Yamashiro Onsen character Supakuro-kun. Yamashiro Onsen is said to have begun in 725, when the high priest Gyoki, on his way to sacred Mount Hakusan, found a three-legged sacred bird, the Yatagarasu, in a puddle healing an injured wing. Supakuro-kun was created in 2011 with that Yatagarasu as his motif, and promotes Yamashiro Onsen on Facebook and elsewhere.
