Matsubara Prince, the public-relations ambassador for Roadside Station Kuni no Matsubara Ōsaki, was created in autumn 2013 to promote the roadside station. Since many green sea turtles come ashore in Ōsaki Town, he has a sea turtle motif. He appears at various events for the roadside station and Ōsaki Town.
