Official PR ambassador of the Okinoerabu Island Tourism Association, Shimarakkyo-kun. He was named Shimarakkyo-kun and debuted because the shape of Okinoerabu Island in the Amami Islands resembles the shape of shima-rakkyo. He is active by sharing the attractions of Okinoerabu Island on Facebook and elsewhere, appearing mainly at events on the island to enliven them, and appearing on television. His costume apparently changes, and the photograph is said to show the “formal version.”
