Fuchu City mascot Fuchukoma. This character was created in 2014, when the city marked its 60th anniversary, with the wooden komainu at Rokukokutamajinja Shrine in the city as its motif. The city bird and flower, the lark and plum, are depicted on Fuchukoma’s wallet. Fuchukoma appears at events and works hard to promote Fuchu City’s appeal to more people.
