Saitama Prefecture mascots Kobaton and Saitamacchi. Saitamacchi was born in November 2014 through the New Kobaton Development Project, held to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Kobaton’s birth and its 10th anniversary as a mascot. The two are active while enlivening Saitama Prefecture and aiming to become entertainer characters with worldwide appeal.
