Katsuyama Dinosaur Forest mascot Ganba-ryu. This character was unveiled in May 2014 as the mascot of Katsuyama Dinosaur Forest in Katsuyama City, where many dinosaur fossils are excavated. The name combines “ganbaru,” meaning to work hard at various things, and “dinosaur.” After becoming the head of the sales department, Ganba-ryu works to promote the importance of Katsuyama Dinosaur Forest, the Earth, and the environment.
