Nishiura Onsen PR characters: Asahi-chan and Yūhi-kun. These characters were created with the sunrise and sunset of the Nishiura Peninsula, where Nishiura Onsen is located, as their motifs. Older sister Asahi-chan is 2.3 billion years old, while younger brother Yūhi-kun is 1.6 billion years old. Since their unveiling in June 2014, they have appeared at inns and elsewhere at Nishiura Onsen and worked hard in PR activities.
