Miwa Town Residents’ Association Federation character Newcomer Miwako-chan is a girl whose design was selected after “Miwa’s new character” was solicited in 2013 and unveiled in April 2014. Her face represents rice harvested in Miwa Town, while her clothing represents the town’s mountains and rivers, expressing Miwa Town’s abundant nature. She seems shy, but appears at events and works hard to energize the town.
