Fukakusa regional mascot, Fukakusa Uzura no Kitchō-kun. This character was created with the quail as his motif, a bird long considered auspicious, with the hope that he would bring good fortune to the Fukakusa area. He usually lives on Mount Fukakusa but appears at many events, mainly in Kyoto, to bring smiles to everyone.
