Agui Town mascot character Agupy. This character was created in June 2003, when the town marked its 50th anniversary, and the nickname “Agupy” was selected from submitted entries. Agupy made its costumed-character debut in June 2013 and works to promote Agui Town, which is pursuing “the creation of a pleasant living environment where fireflies fly,” as well as firefly conservation.
