Official Mihara City mascot Yassa Daruman. He is estimated to be 450 years old and loves Yassa dancing. Yassa Daruman was born in Mihara City, where the representative summer festival of the Chugoku region, the Mihara Yassa Festival, is held. Inspired by “Japan’s number-one big daruma who dances the Yassa dance,” he loves Mihara City’s sweets and alcohol and will appear at various events to help more people learn about Mihara City’s appeal.
