Kaminoyama image character Kasebo. Kasebo is modeled on the traditional February event “Kishu Kasedori,” held every year in Kaminoyama City, and wears a costume woven from straw called a “kendai.” Kasebo is active mainly at events in Kaminoyama City and Yamagata Prefecture, and has also appeared on television programs in Tokyo.
