Midorimaru is Seiro Town's image character. This hawk character was created in the image of the famous hawk Midorimaru, which appears in the Legend of Midorimaru, the tale from which Seiro Town takes its name. Midorimaru debuted in 2007 to commemorate the town's 30th anniversary. Although nimble movement seems not to be a strength, Midorimaru appears at events inside and outside the prefecture to promote Seiro Town.
