Yatomi City character Kin-chan. On October 3, 1996, “Yatomi Day,” Kin-chan was created with the city’s specialty goldfish as its motif, and the name was selected from public submissions. Kin-chan has appeared on buses wrapped with its image, in merchandise sales, and at events inside and outside the city to promote Yatomi City.
