Kiyose Carrot Project character Nin-nin-kun is a three-year-old ninja boy created after being selected as the grand-prize winner from the entries in a carrot character contest held by the Kiyose City Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As a ninja, he appears at events mainly in Tokyo and elsewhere to promote the city's specialty carrots, as well as appearing in various dishes on people's dining tables.
