Motoyakura Castle Ruins mascot Katta-ne! Kun was created with Chiba Katsutane, the third lord of the nationally designated historic site Motoyakura Castle Ruins, as his motif. About 500 years old, Katta-ne! Kun is a lord and the god of both literary and martial arts and victory. His body is made of a seed of the lucky grass, and his hands and feet are roots extending into the earth. With the famous sword he carries, he cuts weakness and loss of spirit in two with a single stroke! While living at Motoyakura Castle, he appears at many events throughout Chiba Prefecture.
