Shinojima Shirasu promotion character, Shirappy. Shinojima, located in the Mikawa Bay Quasi-National Park and known as the Matsushima of Tokai, has Japan's largest shirasu catch. Shirappy is a male shirasu fairy created to promote shirasu. He appears at events mainly within the prefecture to help more people learn about Shinojima and shirasu.
