Teitan & Black Teitan

Teitan and Black Teitan are environmental mascot characters. Teitan is a white bear whose trademark is a bandanna bearing the mark of a sunflower, Kitakyushu City's flower. He came from the North Pole to Kitakyushu, an environmental model city, in May 2011, and is a character skilled at eco-friendly activities. Black Teitan was born in May 2014 as Teitan's friend, and is a character who is poor at eco-friendly activities. Teitan's eyes and nose express eco, while Black Teitan's express ego. They share information about eco-friendly activities and nature while participating in events in the city and inside and outside the prefecture!
