Fukuoka yuru character Shotoku Mentaishi (しょうとくめんたいし). Born in Hakata, famous for mentaiko, Shotoku Mentaishi is a character who, although unofficial, supports and promotes beloved Fukuoka Prefecture while dancing the “Mentaíso.” Shotoku Mentaishi participates in events inside and outside the prefecture while praying for abundant harvests and freedom from illness and disaster in Fukuoka.
