Matsubara City mascot Mackie. She is a fairy girl who is half pine tree and half rose, the city’s tree and flower. She was chosen from nationwide public submissions and born in 2010, the 55th anniversary of the city’s administration. She works actively to make Matsubara residents smile and turn it into Japan’s happiest city!
