Nichinan City tourism image character Nichinanchasama. He is a somewhat overweight lord dressed in an aloha shirt with a cherry-blossom topknot. Since his costumed debut in October of Heisei 23 (2011), he has arrived at events saying, “Nan-ja? Nan-ja?” and gets the venues excited!
