Kiyomasa-kun is a character created in the image of Kato Kiyomasa for a project commemorating the 450th anniversary of his birth and the 400th anniversary of his death. His name was chosen through a public call for entries. He wears a large blue hat inspired by Kumamoto's clear streams and groundwater and a red jinbaori inspired by the Land of Fire, Kumamoto. He is active at many events.
