In Mitsuishi, Bizen City, at the eastern edge of Okayama Prefecture, there is Fukaya Falls (Mitani no Taki), whose plunge pool has two levels. Long ago, it is said that a parent and child of dragons took human form and lived here, having made a promise to the villagers. When the villagers broke the promise, the pair became angry and fled into the mountains. The waterfall is said to have formed at that time; Uryū Shrine and a Fudō-sama are also enshrined there. Mitagon was named after this “Mitani.” The second-generation Mitagon was created in a manga-like style in 2008. The first Mitagon was created in 1991.
