Kanagawa Ward, Yokohama City mascot character Kametaro was created with a turtle motif based on the legend of Urashima Tarō preserved in Kanagawa Ward. Kametaro took its current form when the character was renewed in 2009. Kametaro is active mainly at events within the prefecture to promote Kanagawa Ward!
