He was born in March 2010 as the character of the Hikone Gun Squad. As an apprentice member of the gun squad, he practices performances with the members while holding a rubber-band gun. The name Hikodon comes from “Hiko,” from the “Hiko” in the Ii family of the Hikone domain, and “don,” representing the sound of a gun being fired. He is a character inspired by the red-armored gun squad of the Ii family of the Hikone domain, created with the hope that he will be loved by many people.
