Hagu-kun

Hagu-kun is the ESD mascot character created by the Ministry of the Environment. ESD stands for Education for Sustainable Development. It is an activity aimed at creating new values and behaviors that lead to solving global issues, by viewing such issues as one’s own and acquiring the ability to take action starting close to home, with the goal of creating a sustainable society. Together with Hagu-kun, let us think about and act for the future in the spirit of “Think globally, act locally”! From our communities to Japan, the world, and the Earth, let us nurture our thoughts, nurture people, and nurture the future!
