Takka～kun is the official mascot character of NAGAREYAMA F.C., which aims to reach the J.League from Nagareyama City. The name was solicited from local residents and settled on Takka～kun, combining “ōtaka,” Nagareyama City’s bird, with “soccer.” The design also uses colors associated with the city flower, azaleas, as well as the area’s forest and mirin. NAGAREYAMA F.C. supports local children and everyone in the community, as well as the club itself!
