Iwashi Kinchaku-kun is the mascot of the Iwashi Kinchaku-net Fishery Cooperative Association. He is involved in fishing using purse seines to catch Japanese sardines, anchovies, horse mackerel, and other fish in Osaka Bay, and works in the hope that Osaka Bay will once again become a rich fishing ground as it was in the past. He shares fishing scenes and the fish caught on Twitter and other platforms, while also sharing information about events such as markets.
