Bonsai-kun

Bonsai Village character Bonsai-kun. Bonsai Village began when bonsai growers from Tokyo, whose homes had been damaged in the Great Kanto Earthquake, moved there in search of soil suitable for growing bonsai. Several bonsai nurseries still remain, and bonsai is said to have been designated a traditional industry of Saitama City. Bonsai-kun was created to promote Bonsai Village. While updating Twitter and other channels, Bonsai-kun works to help more people learn about Bonsai Village through various events, television appearances, and merchandise sales.
