Shirahama Tourism Association characters Kuetaro and Kuedon. These brothers are groupers who work as tourism-association mascots to convey the appeal of Kishu hon-kué, known as a phantom fish. The older brother is Kuetaro, and the younger brother is Kuedon, who was born in 2013. They visit events in various places to promote Kishu hon-kué and the attractions of Shirahama Town and encourage people to visit.
